Trust, Technology and Truth: How Age and Gender Shape News Consumption and Responses to Misinformation in Myanmar

The Red Flag has published a new research report examining how people across different age groups and connectivity environments in Myanmar access, consume, trust, and verify news and information. Drawing on the experiences of five age groups, the study explores how age, gender, connectivity, digital literacy, livelihood conditions, and trusted relationships shape people’s responses to misinformation, disinformation, harmful content, and emerging AI-generated media.
